2019 Brokenback Gewurztraminer

The Brokenback Vineyard, Pokolbin, was planted in the 1970's by a visionary group led by the late, legendary, Len Evans, AO, OBE. Over the ensuing years the vines have produced premium wines under a variety of labels. In 2008 the vineyard then in two parts, was purchased privately and amalgamated.

This delightfully expressive and aromatic wine displays fragrant lychee and musk on the bouquet. 

The generous palate is fresh, fruity and fun displaying a touch of spice and crisp citrus flavours at the finish.

Cellaring: Made for early consumption to enjoy the fresh varietal flavours.

2017 Brokenback Chardonnay

Appearance: Pale yellow/straw.

Bouquet: Subtle grapefruit and sweet nut aromas.

Palate: A very elegant wine displaying melon and grapefruit flavours balanced by fresh acidity. The subtle and well-integrated French oak barrel fermentation creates a complex and refined palate with a creamy texture and a lingering finish.

2020 Creek Bed Reserve Semillon

Our Creek Bed Semillon is an isolated parcel selected from our Brokenback Vineyard and handpicked to minimise skin contact and preserve the fresh, delicate flavours of the variety.

This 2020 Hunter Valley Semillon was harvested early to capture the crisp citrus flavours with refreshing acidity. The wine is vibrant and lively whilst young displaying a scented lemon blossom bouquet with lingering lemon and lime zest characters. The palate is intensely flavoured yet elegant in style with great line and length.

Cellaring: Excellent whilst young or will gain rewarding complexity with careful cellaring up to 10 years.

2018 Creek Bed Reserve Chardonnay

Our Creek Bed Chardonnay is an isolated parcel selected from our Brokenback Vineyard and hand picked to minimise skin contact and preserve the fresh, delicate flavours of the variety.

The Creek Bed Chardonnay is an elegant wine style with a strong citrus core driving through the palate. With careful French oaking treatments and extended lees contact the palate is well structured and complex displaying delicate melon flavours and crisp acidity at the finish.

Cellaring:  Excellent whilst young or will gain rewarding complexity with medium term cellaring of 2 - 5 years.

Appearance: Straw. 

Bouquet: Subtle melon and peach fruit aromas with a hint of toasty oak. 

Palate: This wine is rich and flavoursome displaying refreshing melon, peach and citrus characters supported by delicate vanillin oak. The palate is well structured and full flavoured yet medium in weight. The finish is soft and creamy. 

Cellaring: Drinking well now or will develop very rewarding toasty, nutty characters with careful medium-term cellaring, 2-8 years.

2016 Vicki's Choice Chardonnay

Bouquet: Subtle melon and peach fruit aromas with a hint of toasty oak. 

Palate: This wine has been fermented in 100% French Oak Hogshead barrels and matured on yeast lees with occasional stirring. The resultant wine displays lovely complexity of both fruit and oak with elegant peach flavours being complimented by a soft and creamy finish.  

Cellaring: Drinking well now or will develop very rewarding toasty, nutty characters with careful medium-term cellaring, 2-5 years.
