The Brokenback Vineyard, Pokolbin, was planted in the 1970's by a visionary group led by the late, legendary, Len Evans, AO, OBE. Over the ensuing years the vines have produced premium wines under a variety of labels. In 2008 the vineyard then in two parts, was purchased privately and amalgamated.
Our Brokenback Semillon is harvested early to capture the crisp citrus flavours with delicate, refreshing acidity. The result is a light, elegant wine style displaying a wonderfully lifted lemon citrus bouquet with lingering lime fruit flavours adding great length to the wine.
Cellaring: Vibrant and lively whilst young or will gain rewarding complexity with medium term cellaring 2 – 10 years.
This is a wine of welcome restraint, displaying aromas of lifted citrus and gooseberry. The palate is juicy, filling the cheeks with passionfruit, grape spice and pine lime notes, finishing with a touch of mineral acidity. A vibrant wine to be enjoyed now and with friends.

Our Brokenback Verdelho displays lifted tropical fruit aromas and flavours balanced by refreshing citrus acidity. This generous wine is full flavoured with a touch of spice creating a long and complex palate.
Our Creek Bed Semillon is an isolated parcel selected from our Brokenback Vineyard and handpicked to minimise skin contact and preserve the fresh, delicate flavours of the variety.
This 2022 Hunter Valley Semillon was harvested early to capture the crisp citrus flavours with refreshing acidity. The wine is vibrant and lively whilst young displaying a scented lemon blossom bouquet with lingering lemon and lime zest characters. The palate is intensely flavoured yet elegant in style with great line and length.
Cellaring: Excellent whilst young or will gain rewarding complexity with careful cellaring up to 10 years.
